Excellent food quality. Reminds me of being in the old country. I've had better shwarma and schnitzel, sure, but you can't find this quality in the city. A perfect balance of flavor, not too much oil, and price can be found at this restaurant.
I cannot recommend The Hummus Kitchen enough. Our service was great, the food was filling and well priced, and everything was delicious!! I think that The Hummus Kitchen well lived up to its name - this was perhaps the best hummus I have ever had. Stop by here if you are able!!
Simply put, Hummus Kitchen always serves solid, absolutely delicious food. This was my third or fourth trip there and it never disappoints. This time around, a friend and I split a few mezze (hummus, baba), which were fantastic. I then opted for the vegan shawarma "tacos," which were cauliflower florets pan-fried in a fantastic curry-based seasoning. I'd planned on having just one half but couldn't control myself (what's new?!) and inhaled both in near-record time. To top it off, the service was excellent. Two servers stopped by to ensure that we had what we needed, but didn't smother or hover. Already looking forward to the next trip to HK.
Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had-- we got the hummus, falafel, fava bean mazze and the hummus was literally incredible. The pita they gave us with it was so soft and delicious too. The cocktail I got wasn't too strong, but was decent. The real star of the show here is the food! Every employee was so sweet and attentive, and it's so cute inside the restaurant too. So glad we went!
My experience with Hummus Kitchen is based solely on delivery. The food is always delicious, the order is always well packed and arrives on time or early! Great hummus, delicious falafel laffa sandwiches and also the schnitzel is really good too. Tasty chug sauce to accompany your sandwich Very much recommend ordering from Hummus Kitchen if you are craving middle eastern food that is high quality.
I stumbled upon Hummus Kitchen by chance. It was lunchtime, so I decided to try it out. I'm really glad I did because the red Mediterranean chicken was one of the best dishes I've ever had in Hell's Kitchen. It came with veggies, hummus, rice, and pita, all incredibly fresh. Our waitress was exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant felt very clean. The portions were impressive too; I left feeling completely satisfied.
This was a beautiful restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. The interior was warm and cozy with art on the brick wall, pretty lights hanging from the ceiling. There was a digital menu with photographs of the food offerings. For the appetizer, I got try my friend's Baba Ganoush and pita bread. The Baba Ganoush was creamy and tasty, while the bread was soft, as well as fresh. I ordered Grilled Salmon, served with veggies and rice mixed with lentils. The Salmon was lightly crispy, tender and well seasoned. The rice was perfectly cooked, while the veggies were tasty and fresh. In addition, I tasted my friend's schnitzel, which was lightly breaded, crunchy, and full of great savory flavor. For dessert, my friend and I shared the Kadij Kitchen and Loco Morocco, which was chocolate mousse cake, with coconut and whipped cream. I loved the Kadij Kitchen, which consisted of halva parfait on shredded phyllo dough, topped with halva ice cream. This was simply delightful, with delicate spun halva, flaky dough, along with a sticky velvety smooth ice cream that didn't seem to melt. The taste was not too sweet, yet very satisfying. The Chocolate Mousse was also yummy, rich in chocolate and creamy goodness. Service was good. Our waitress was friendly and everything came out in a timely manner. I would definitely return to try the Moroccan Fish or Beef.
Best hummus I've ever tasted! In this NYC foodie mecca, I am grateful for finding Hummus Kitchen. It was our last night in Manhattan and we were looking for somewhere near our hotel for dinner. We narrowed it down to mediterranean and Hummus Kitchen was just a few blocks away. So off we went. We almost didn't see it because it's the definition of a hole in the wall. There is not much seating inside, but it was late and we got a table quickly. Our server arrived almost instantly and presented us with electronic tablets for menus. We got some hummus appetizer with pita bread. We all agreed that the hummus was unlike any hummus we've ever tasted. It was buttery smooth and tasted delicious! Yom Yom Yom! We also tried the Grilled chicken, Shawarma platter, Seniya Pita taco and the Arais. Everything we had was delicious. The chicken was juicy. The marinated beef was grilled perfectly. The sauces were spot on. Even the pita bread was toasted just right. It's true everything tastes better when you're hungry, so we must've been really hungry! Our server was very attentive and we didn't have any room for dessert. If I lived nearer, I would probably eat here every other week. Bon apetite.
Great little place! I have ordered from them a bunch of times, but dined there for the first time in January for a colleague's bday lunch. The server was friendly and helpful with all our questions. Their menu is presented in a tablet. Generous portions of delicious food arrived quickly. We each ordered something different and there was plenty to share and bring back to work for snacks. Dessert was delicious - our server even brought one of them with a candle and sang happy birthday with us. A few ordered tea, but our server warned us it was Turkish coffee when we asked for one, which was really sweet. Fast forward to mid-March when I brought my cousins from out of town to a late dinner. We arrived 4 minutes before the kitchen was due to close, but they were still warm and accommodating. We were conscious of the time, but they didn't make us feel rushed through our meal. One cousin ordered the shawarma taco, another ordered the hummus kitchen, and I ordered the mushroom hummus, all made fresh. Again, we had enough for leftovers. Fast forward to two days later when I brought another set of cousins from out of town. This time, we arrived way before the kitchen was set to close. The restaurant was packed and we were seated at the last available table. We had the same server from January. One cousin ordered the charred eggplant, I think the other had sirloin hummus, and I ordered my usual - the mushroom hummus. Again, the portions were generous, and though my cousins finished their meals, I had plenty for leftovers. They shared a dessert with pomegranates and two of us had the Turkish coffee (again with words of caution from our sweet server). The check arrived and it was a fight on who would pay - the server even joked with us during this (awkward) moment. Long story short, each of my experiences here have been consistently amazing. The portions are generous and reasonably priced, service comes with a smile, the music is pleasant, and the vibe casual and warm. My cousins, who visit several times a year, have added this to their list of restaurants to frequent. Definitely a must-go.
